An amazing quality certificate in signed by the founder of the WBC Jose Suliaman, the then British Boxing Board Of Control President John Morris and several other World Bodies. He had already destroyed Julian Jackson to win the second belt (he was already WBO middleweight champ) he made 3 defenses of the WBC crown, and then relinquished the belt to move up to Super middleweight to fight Nigel Benn for the WBC crown at the higher weight. Gerald was tipped to destroy Nigel at the time but a huge upset and career ending fight saw Nigel Benn's hand raised in victory. This fight left Gerald permanency Brain damaged and totally blind and 80% deaf, he has needed 24 hour care for over 22 years and has been and continues to be looked after by his sister Lisa.
